The Guest Cabin was built in 2007 from wood harvested from my Great Grandparents Old Home Place. The cabin has served many purposes through the years. It was designed for the Special Needs community as a place of respite. In addition to that function, it now houses the Bride and her Bridesmaids the day of the wedding. It is often rented for the night of the rehearsal for the Bride and her Bridesmaids to spend the night. It is also offered as The Bridal Suite for the Bride and Groom. Some couples have returned to the SDG Guest Cabin to celebrate their anniversary.
This cozy cabin features 1 large bedroom with 2 beds, 1 large bathroom, kitchen, and upstairs loft for additional bedroom. Large windows provide plenty of light and give a beautiful view of the large oak trees tucked next to the cabin. Parts of the interior feature reclaimed wood from an 1885 house.
The cabin is secluded back into the woods and is not visible from any other structure on the property. Everything is still in short walking distance from the cabin and a driveway goes right up to the front door providing easy access.
